Jan 11th HDR--Photomatix

I know, I know I just told you no more HDR's for a while but I came across Photomatix and I thought htat I'd try it instead of Luminance.  As you can tell I didn't buy Photomatix, but you get to use a fully functional version of the program (that never expires), as long as you're willing to deal with the watermark.

I took three more shots on Jan 11th and zoomed in a bit more.  I also cropped a bit in post.

Jan 10th HDR

OK I'm know, I know, enough with the crappy HDR, but I just can't figure this out and it's pissing me off, but as you may have noticed I'm about a month behind in my postings so I can tell you that there are several days without any HDR coming up.  If you have any tips on how to get a better HDR image with Luminance HDR then let me know.

Jan 9th--Six Seconds of table tennis.

18mm
6s
f22
ISO 1000
White Balance Custom

This isn't at all what I was hoping for.  I was hoping to get an image of the ball traveling back and forth in a blur.  I am going to try to find a glow in the dark ball that I can take a picture of with lower lights but I still like the way that the two players (myself on the right in an orange OSU wrestling shirt) are blurred in the image.

Jan 8th--long exposure

This was taken at the mountain identifier between the John Day river and Condon.
5s Exposure
f20
ISO 1000
White balance set at Shade
42mm

I really like the idea of a long exposure and capturing head light/tail lights in a ribbon.  I'd like to try to get a car coming out of Heppner towards Ruggs.  There are some nice hairpin turns that you can see if you set up in the right spot. . .a later post?

Jan 7th--a feeble attempt. . .

Jan 7th I was up late so that I could sleep in before working the night shift the next day.  I had to get creative as I had not yet created an image and it was already after 2200.  So I took a photo of something that I'm always close to--a can of diet Pepsi.  I messed around a little with the image in Picasa.  Sorry attempt at creating an image I know but oh well. . .

Jan 6th

This was a photo of my son and daughter in the bath together, but our daughter had a funny look on her face so I cropped it down to just show my son.  The background was already out of focus but I added a soft focus to the image on everything but the face.
