This isn't at all what I was hoping for. I was hoping to get an image of the ball traveling back and forth in a blur. I am going to try to find a glow in the dark ball that I can take a picture of with lower lights but I still like the way that the two players (myself on the right in an orange OSU wrestling shirt) are blurred in the image.

Jan 8th--long exposure
This was taken at the mountain identifier between the John Day river and Condon.

I really like the idea of a long exposure and capturing head light/tail lights in a ribbon. I'd like to try to get a car coming out of Heppner towards Ruggs. There are some nice hairpin turns that you can see if you set up in the right spot. . .a later post?

Jan 7th--a feeble attempt. . .
Jan 7th I was up late so that I could sleep in before working the night shift the next day. I had to get creative as I had not yet created an image and it was already after 2200. So I took a photo of something that I'm always close to--a can of diet Pepsi. I messed around a little with the image in Picasa. Sorry attempt at creating an image I know but oh well. . .

Jan 6th
This was a photo of my son and daughter in the bath together, but our daughter had a funny look on her face so I cropped it down to just show my son. The background was already out of focus but I added a soft focus to the image on everything but the face.

Jan 3rd Lincoln City OR HDR
A four shot exposure taken on the Oregon Coast by Lincoln City Oregon. All photos taken Jan 3, 2012.
Resolution: Project Photo.
So I always make resolutions, every year, normally I keep them, sometimes I don't. This year my resolution is going to be one that I can share, well at least one of the resolutions is going to be. I'm going to take a photo every day--intentionally. Not just a quick snap shot but one that is done on purpose (and not in the Auto mode). I hope that in doing so I'll be able learn how to use my camera and all of it's functions. I'm working on a couple of "assignments" to fulfill during the year as well. If you have any ideas let me know. I know that I want to get some landscape shots, I want to mess around with HDR, get some sports/actions images. I think that I'd like to try to do a "fashion" shoot at some point (like shooting someone's senior pictures).
